Premier League: The 10 players who really need to step up
It's going to be an exciting Christmas for a number of players, but it's the players who have shone brightest so far this term which the bosses will be looking to lead their team to glory this winter. Here are the players who really need to step up and lead their club forward.

Goalkeeper
Who could say no to £100,000 per week? At this level, there's only one thing that should be considered: getting the most out of your £100k per week.
When the players' share of the money is determined, the highest earner gets £17.5k per week. From here, the other players would be afforded £11.25k, with £4.5k going to the players in the first team squad. Those players, then, would have £7.25k and £1.75k respectively.
After that, there are two types of players who would get £7.25k, with the first being the players who aren't the main man for their club and the second being the average squad player.
In all, there are four main types of player: the main man for his club, the average squad player, the guy not getting a look in and the guy who's just not good enough to get a look in and the first choice keeper.
The biggest thing a keeper needs to do at this level is to focus on keeping the ball out of his net, as he doesn't have much choice ac619d1d87
